Rhodes Architecture + Light is an award-winning, West Seattle firm with a team of six, 28 years in business and an exciting portfolio of residential and commercial buildings. We seek a unique candidate with both architectural and A/E/C marketing expertise to join our inclusive, supportive, and mutually respectful team.


Rhodes Architecture + Light is recognized for designing beautiful, elegantly lit, wellness-centered contemporary architecture in the Puget Sound region. We provide a calm, team-driven work environment in a historic building in the highly walkable West Seattle Junction.

We engage in all aspects of the architecture including interiors, lighting, site design and planning. Our emphasis is on science-informed sustainable design that enhances the lives of people who live, work, and play in the innovative buildings we design and produce.

This is a 40-hour maximum position with no overtime or long hours expected!


Education: Architecture 5-year Bachelor's (Preferred)


Experience: Architectural: 2 years Project Management Experience, Construction Assembly/Detailing Knowledge + Revit Fluency, good presentation and writing ability is Crucial for this Position.

Job Description


The Architectural Production Manager + Marketing Assistant will be responsible for the production phase of architectural projects, ensuring that designs are translated into reality with precision and adherence to quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional with a strong background in construction document production, coordination, and project delivery.

 

Secondary responsibilities include playing a vital role in supporting marketing objectives in various aspects of campaign execution, content creation, client communication and administrative tasks. This multi-faceted position requires a proactive, skilled communicator who is knowledgeable about marketing for the A/E/C industry and eager to learn and grow within the field. 


Key Responsibilities: Production


- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior team members.

- Ensure accuracy and adherence to design concepts and industry standards.

- Collaborate with architects, designers, and other team members to integrate design concepts into construction documents.

- Communicate effectively with team members to address any production-related challenges or queries.

- Participate in quality control reviews to identify and correct discrepancies or issues in construction documents.

- Contribute to maintaining high standards of document production quality.

- Assist in maintaining production schedules and timelines.

- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure tasks are completed within established budgets and deadlines.

- Demonstrate flexibility to work on various projects and adapt to evolving project requirements.

- Contribute proactively to the team's success by taking on new challenges.


Key Responsibilities: Marketing


- Oversee execution of the marketing plan, mentored by our Marketing Director.

- Assist in the creation of engaging and compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, blogs, and email campaigns.

- Website updates and content management using the Wix platform

- Develop and execute new and existing strategies for lead generation. Maintain social media, Houzz, AIA and Google Business profiles and respond to new inquiries from Houzz, website and social media platforms.

- Assist in client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication, courtesy calls and weekly summaries.

- Google Ad campaign development

- Monitor website analytics, lead generation, and conversion rates.

- Regularly update and optimize the firm's website for SEO to improve search engine rankings and attract organic traffic. Use Google Analytics and Search Console to track and report website traffic.

- Case study presentation development using Keynote or Powerpoint

- Stay informed on and participate in community events that support the RA+L mission/vision while raising brand awareness for the firm.

- Use local newspapers, magazines, and industry publications for free/inexpensive PR and print advertising where there is a good audience fit and added value.

- Update promotional book as needed with new work.

- Seek selective award opportunities that provide the greatest opportunity for exposure for the best value.


Requirements:


- Applicants must have a five-year architecturally-accredited degree and be actively pursuing registration, design and detailing experience, and an interest in contemporary detail-oriented design and construction documents experience.

- You will have at least two years of experience in an architectural practice.

- You will have an interest in marketing and at least one year of related experience in a professional setting.

- You are driven to expand your abilities, inherently interested in learning and growing, and are seeking to join a small, vibrant office.

- You will be excited about the built environment, the way buildings go together, interaction with clients and simple, effective design solutions. You will have good in-depth experience with wood, steel and concrete and understand building assemblies and systems.

- You will have demonstrated, excellent ability in Revit, Autocad, Word, Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite–particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

-Good Writing ability

- Fluency in Social Media- Enthusiastic and proactive interest in Architecture, architectural design and, equally, integrated architectural production and architectural marketing and graphics.

- Ability to work in our growing West Seattle offices and a strong interest in working in an energetic + collaborative architectural team environment designing, producing and detailing creative structures and in promoting the firm's marketing, graphics, client connections and social media outreach.


Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 Per year depending on experience
